RRTL 2006 came and went with great reviews! Once all the information, pictures, and DVDs were distributed, we had a lot of people interested in the up & coming 2007 RRTL!!  This year's RRTL will be a slight variation from the original intent.  Due to feedback from people that are interested in going, we have decided to try a slightly different approach this year.  We've been hearing that many people would like to experiance RRTL, but without having to take off from work for the day, or spend quite as much money. So this year, we've decided to make it a R.T.T.L., Rally To The Lake, and make it a weekend camping trip in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan!  This way we'll be still be experiancing some great northwoods driving, northwoods ambiance, and good times, while keeping it a tad shorter and less hurtful on the wallet. Last year was big city lights, this year the Northern Lights!

 

Tentative plans for Day 1 include a meeting spot Friday evening, most likely near Minocqua Wisconsin, for a night out in the small town, versus last years big city lights of Chicago.  Saturday morning, Day 2, a good solid breakfast at the northwoods biggest legend... Paul Bunyan's Northwoods Cook Shanty in Minocqua! All you can eat, served family style! After breakfast, feel free to browse around town for shopping, mini-golf, or water sports if your up to it. We'll decide Friday night how we want to spend our Saturday mid-day. Later on, if you didn't completely fill up at Paul Bunyan's, don't worry... we'll be getting our fill of driving for the next couple hours with a not-so-leisurely drive through some twisties in the great north backwoods.  Our destination will be camping on/near Lake Superior. A night under the stars with good friends, and good drinks! 

 

Expect RTTL 2007 to be a great mini vacation.  We plan to go back to original style for RRTL 2008, the entire "around the lake" adventure, with many more activities planned out!  This is the 'year between', and will still prove to be a great weekend on a budget!!!  Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
